Significance of Elections

I don t know what the significance of an election is especially in a corrupt country like India. But i m proud to be an indian just because its my home country and his rich cultural heritage and history. In my opinion every one should cast their votes as they are given the rights. We should make sure that we at least know who is ruling the constituency or state.

For me the recent election was an eye opener. My neighbour Moorthy uncle was denied his right to vote. His name was missing in the voter's list. He is a senior citizen and has been voting for the past 45 years. Imagine what he might have felt when his voting right was taken away by the negligence of the authorities. Even this mistake shows how big corruption in this country is. The LTTE was formed because the tamilians were deprived of their voting rights. This situation is grave. what is the use of democracy when one is deprived of his or her voting rights?. Cine actor dileep fumed when he noticed that his and his family member's name were missing from the voter's list. Its a situation of utter negligence and cannot be tolerated especially when the political parties are showing intolerable behaviour in the name of bandh and hartal. Only in India can you see a politician like Shashi Tharoor being maligned without ample proof while hundreds of other politicians walk scot-free after being involved in bigger scams. Tharoor had occupied under secretary general post in the UN and had left UN because he felt indians were not treated properly in the UN. So he came back to his homeland where he is being treated even more shabbily. These pathetic conditions can be seen only in India and nowhere else.Corruption is not going to end in a single day unless we the citizens try to involve in politics. Its what democracy is for and every one are entitled for their rights to think logically and elect the right candidates . Its time for every one to put the country before any party ....

Endhiran

This movie can be described as a path breaking movie. Director shankar has tried what anyone in india has never tried. I have always been a huge admirer of shankar for the kind of movies he makes. He is one guy who knows his trade well. But when he combines with rajni kanth the equation is totally different. we can expect a certain amount of kathis in rajni movies. He is seen as a super human in each of his movies. He is the most paid actor in asia after the legendary Jackie chan. He has a large fan following in china , japan and korea as well. He was one of the find of the director balachander. He made his debut in movie as villain. soon he got admirers for his style and punch dialogues. At present he is the biggest superstar in tamil film industry.

I went to watch the movie with certain level of expectations. The movie was good in terms of technology and quality. The script of the movie is superb and well carved. But what attracted me is the negaive role portrayed by rajni kanth. He has indeed donned a negative character after so many years. He has portrayed it beautifully. If he has been the biggest hero over all these years audiences have missed the biggest villain for all those years. I have never been a fan of rajni kanth. I have been a huge kamal fan since childhood. Apart from Rajni's style and dialogue delivery there was nothing amazing about him. But after watching this movie i have become an admirer of him especially the way he dons the negative character. His performance is splendid. Shankar has brought the best from him. Kudos to him.

Never ever a rajni film made me to think. But this one has. It was just like a dream. But what an amazing actor he is. Hats off

Sarcastic talks-1

These talks are talks filled with sarcasm. A lot has been inspired from the writings of chetan bhagat is the king of sarcasm as far as i m concerned. But he is a genuine comedy writer although he blends comedy well with reality. These are just casual talks which evoke laughter during course of a day.

A lot has been happening in my office recently. weddings, parties, buffet dinners , bachelor parties and birth days. Birth day celebrations are regularly occuring events which makes us fatter and our wallets thinner. Oh we have to contribute on every birth days. but its never a pain.

So it seems to be a wedding season with lots of wedding taking place in this month of chingam. The girl sitting opposite my cubicle got married. ah i have been seeing her more outside the office talking to her boy friend through phone than being in her seat doing her work. girl seemed okay not bad looking, i wondered how her boy friend looks. he might be prince charming . soon the wedding happened and we all just came to know that her wedding took place last saturday. our company took office space from this company in which she was working. so on every occasion of joy both the companies shared joy and happiness on ocassions like these. we all wanted to see that guy's face the prince charming who talks relentlessly for hours with this girl through mobile.

At last it appeared as her wall paper. oh it was their wedding photo. i was struck by lightning or current . oh god whats this ? where did she get this gorilla from? i understood why love is so blind . oh and she is displaying this picture shame lessly. oh god i can't take this .

so i move way from my seat for peace of mind. one dude was sitting doing his work in the corner. he was solving equations of electrical question papers. we began the conversation and it deviated to the girl's wedding . i asked dude did you ask her.
me- what's her name ? i forgot it.
dude- her name is kisna.
me- what's her age? and what's the guy doing?
dude- They both are aged 24 i don't know what the guy is doing.
me - oh so its a love marriage
dude- yeah i m afraid so
me- did she had to have an affair with this fellow. if she had an arranged marriage she would have got a fellow who is far better. leave it at least some one who resembles a human being
dude- yeah he looks as if he is born on the day of thrissur pooram
me- no dude the complexion is not what matters. but even if in the photo if he was replaced by a gorilla i can't see any difference. from which zoo did she get this fellow?
dude broke into laughter and said ' love is blind and foolish too'
me- that fellows face horrifies me. it distracts me
dude- that is reality dude. hard core reality just like hard core porn movies yuck
me- yeah dude this is very weird and ofcourse this is a mad mad world ;)

Tutorial days- 3

This was the third day . Vijay was sitting next to joshy. There was this new fellow who looked yo yo by his looks. His name is Benny and he had a chain in his hand which was meant to hold his key so that it does not get lost. He was much older than vijay. He had been working in a software firm in trivandrum. The thing is that he worked in a rare platform which uses small talk as the language. To avoid signing a contract in this company he resigned from the company and wanted to pursue a career in bank. His parents were forcing to take up a govt job. In these days of recession this kind of things are understandable as parents are more concerned about the future of their kids.

He spoke of his worries not being satisfied about the job he had and he says that the job was too demanding. Its difficult to survive in IT industry after an age.'Then you should either take up management or be in the project lead otherwise life sucks!!!.'Thats what he had to say. Most of the people in the group had a feeling that it indeed is true. why is a man earning so much if he is not able to spend it or live happily...

The class almost began and vijay's glance landed up on a fellow who was sitting on the row on his left side. The face looked so familiar. Vijay asked that fellow 'Dude I have seen you some where but i am not able to recollect it where.'
The fellow replied 'even i too remember your face but damn it i am not getting where we have seen each other.... Any ways nice to meet you I am shibin. we might have seen somewhere in a theater. are you a movie buff?'
'yeah sort of... mostly i watch english flicks i even bunk classes to go for movies'
The class began. It was maths class.
'dude i don't know anything other than adding and subtracting ' shibin lamented. 'The effort i had to take to pass b com only God knows'
'don't worry dude its only 10th standard maths and its all about how fast we calculate. and there are no differentiation and integration. attend some practice tests and you will get that speed ... believe me'

It was afternoon time i.e the test time. practice test was over and its time for every one to go. These three fellows vijay, benny and shibin were talking and were stuck in a topic. yes you guessed it right "Liquor".
Benny-'Dude I still use the old time and tested brands like ocr opr rums'
shibin- 'don't drink that i heard that it contains turpentine and tar'
ben- 'doesn't matter. we should not forget our roots. i am not going to forget it.'
Vijay-'brand doesn,t matter to me all i want is to drink what ever i get'
ben- 'have u seen romanov its in a orange bottle its a beauty'
vij - 'i have never heard of that stuff , must be expensive'
ben- 'yeah it is available only in select bars. now i don't even go to bar. i drink it in public places. just be beware of the police. checking is too much'
shibin- 'such a pity....i had stopped it to an extent but this talk is too much for me.come on guys lets go to the bar'
vij-' no dude there is time for everything we will have it another day'

suddenly raju and joshy sprang up .
' you kudiyans(alcoholics) is the brandy, whisky talk over . can the normal people join you?' joshi said.
' I don't drink but i certainly want to see you guys drinking. it will be a terrific experience' said raju

Again its 4 o clock time for all to leave.

Mis castings

I have always been in awe of holly wood movies. The quality of the hollywood movies are unmatchable. Most of the scripts are original and are not duplicated. Stories are genuine and interesting. Even the art movies have the power to capture the imagination of the audience which is great. Most of the indian movies are adaptations of hollywood movies and lack of exposure to holly wood is often exploited by the indian film makers.

Everything is nice about holly wood the script, music, action sequences, plots, graphics. But one thing they lack these days is that the type of actors that are casted in the movies these days. holly wood means perfection in lots of sense. but sometimes it lacks good casting. for example the recently released robin hood had Russel crowe in the lead. He looked like a robin hood who is about to retire from robbery. he was such a huge miscast. No offence to russel crowe but this kind of favourism is doing no favour to holly wood. Russel crowe is the favourite actor of director ridley scott. but this movie looked like a sequel to the gladiator and was a dark movie. I am sure nobody enjoyed it watching it in the theatre. But the robinhood starring kevin costner which was released in 1991 seemed to be a much better film compared to the latest version. There was so much fun, adventure and frolic involved in that movie which was badly missing in this one.

Another example is the recently released predators starring Adrien Brody. Brody who is considered as an intense actor and an actor with immense talent. No wonders he has won the oscars. But i think he has done a blunder by acting in an action movie like the predators. Every movie if it is a sequel will always be compared to its original. like wise its certain that the audience will compare brody to schwarzenegger who had epitomised the earlier lead character in the first version of the predators. critics even complaint that how can adrien brody who hardly fits into the biceps of Arnold could take up such a role. was there any need to damage the reputation of his acting skills?...An action hero like jason statham could have done much better. But before blaming these actors lets blame the directors who chose these actors because these are total miscasts. I hope holly wood won t go astray over casting suitable actors to fit into the plot of the movies.

Unlike father, the son

Watched raavanan.... Definitely a good movie in terms of its picturisation but overall i feel that maniratnam spend 2 years to make a movie which lacked a good script. The fact that such a script cannot be manipulated much. But vikram has done a pretty decent job and prithviraj too. Now moving towards the hindi version of raavan it bombed as expected. The much over rated prodigal son of Big B again failed to make a an impact. After acting in 30 odd films there may be a couple of hits he has delivered single handedly. But i admire the love of amitabh bachan for his son as he has always lend his relentless support to his son 'jisko acting aathi nahi'..... Being a big fan of big B i always used to admire him as a tremendous actor. But in his attempt to establish his son's career tarnished his own image as his influence was used to get abhishek movies which he was never worth for. By all means he does not have an ounce of talent that amitabh has. The only role which suits him is the supporting actor role. Mani ratnam , by now must have realised that abhishek bachan does not possess the ability to save him. Raavan salvaged some pride only because of the tamil version. On the other side Hrithik roshan has oodles of talent and has only added feathers to the hats of rakesh roshan. His father in law Sanjay khan takes great pride in saying that Hrithik is his son in law. No actor might have survived after 25 flops but yet abhishek bachan has thanks to his superstar father.

Big B of late has done a commendable job by making comebacks and acting in senior roles. He might have flopped here and there but god given talent can never be taken back. RGV ki aag was one film he should have never done. The scenes in which he acts like tiger is simply pathetic. No wonder why the film bombed. When you see raavan you might have felt that abhishek bachan was trying simply too hard to look ferocious but only to look rather awkward and silly. It felt like some sober fellow was trying to pretend like a macho. By taking up such roles abhishek is continuously proving his critics right that he does not know how to act. It is better for him not to tarnish the image of his hugely gifted parents and should concentrate on other areas such as direction or production. Leave the audience of watching him over and over again in the television and making one more excuse to hate aiswarya rai....

Classic finals on the cards

2010 world cup offered all any neutral wanted to see. Most of the fans who thought that argentina or brazil might have won the cup were in despair as they faltered in the quarter finals. The amazing run of germany was the main feature of this world cup as they shattered the hopes of england and argentina thrashing them ruthlessly. But the finals seems to be a sparkling contest as the first time in history spain have reached the finals. Holland has reached the finals twice only to falter at the final hurdle. They are out there to make the records straight. Spain began their campaign as favourites and are one step away to prove it right.

Both the teams have never won the world cup so it would be an intriguing final and a great one for the neutral. I am as eager to watch the finals as every one are .May the best team win.

Making of a football club

I am a huge soccer fan. The good thing about soccer is that its not time consuming and is entertaining to the viewers. 90 minutes of excitement and fun. This game needs immense energy and skill. But there are millions of people who follow this game closely. India has been one nation which is far behind the world when it comes to soccer. The advantage about this game is that we dont lose precious time watching this game as much we take for watching cricket. To play cricket we don't require much fitness. Ramesh powar a 100 kg guy who played for india once is proof enough that fitness is only a myth. Recently our cricket coach gary kirsten has said that more than 9 out of 15 players are unfit to play. while in football you cant give reasons for that.

we all may be knowing about the various clubs which play football. English premier league is one of the top most league in the football. spanish , italian and german leagues are not far behind. These huge clubs are owned by billionaires and tycoons who can provide with great funds for buying star players. I am taking the case of chelsea, real madrid and manchester city who splash cash to buy star players. One thing that is lacking at these clubs is a good academy which can develop young starlets for the future. These clubs spend billions of dollars in buying players season after season that even the neutrals get the feeling that clubs have the possibility of winning trophies spending huge amount of money. Chelsea have proved that such things can happen. As a result young players are denied opportunities to develop at a top club and mature as being excellent players which is a bane for a country like england. They have not won a major competition in international competitions in years. Its a pity that a country with one of the best footballing leagues cannot produce trophies at international level and the failure is often attributed to the coach and ageing players.

But in a club like manchester united players are groomed to become future stars. legends like ryan giggs, paul scholes, rooney, xavi, fabregas, messi all have come through their respective academies. they were developed to become bigger and better players. Thats what these big clubs can do good clubs make their future others mar them. last season real madrid spent a whopping 200 million pounds to strengthen the squad which involved te arrival of kaka, ronaldo , alonso, benzema but they failed to win the league and another trophy less season followed. That is the proof of ' money cannot guarantee success'. chelsea might have won trophy last season but they huffed and puffed to beat manchester united by a mere 1 point. But it won't be historical club because 'money may buy success temporarily but cannot buy history' howzzaat!

Tutorial days- 2

This was day 2 in the tutorial and the class was buzzing with energy and new students. Vijay cut a lonely figure among the students as the class began. Nothing was enthusiastic about the class. It was an english class and everything was appearing silly to him. English is the best part in banking as it is as simple it can be if you had proper english education . Exercises were like finding the error in the sentences and filling the blanks with suitable words. Vijay was answering so quickly that people who were sitting near him raju and joshi were stunned by his prowess in english. suddenly raju asked vijay " dude what makes you so good in english "
'school education i guess " vijay replied 'Probably i was good in presentations and speeches from school level i guess"
" dude you will shine that is for sure . My name is raju and i have completed my Mcom."
raju introduced himself "and this is joshi"

Joshi was a cute tall fellow with a silky moustache. He was barely twenty year old and has completed his graduation in mathematics. He was determined that he would get one job or another as soon as possible.
"Dude i have so many responsiblities, I have to educate my sister and i have to support my family" Thats what he had to say.

While Vijay was completely different fellow whose brother is a scientist in the ISRO. Getting a job did not occur to him until recent days when his parents were forcing to get a job. But he is a hard working fellow who was determined to prove his critics wrong.

It was lunch break and all the beautiful girls and guys were ready to have their lunch. everyone were washing their hands in the wash basin and these 3 guys got together to have their lunch.

Suddenly discussions began .It was all about cricket and joshi and raju were the people who were cricket enthusiasts. Vijay hated cricket. There is a long story behind it. As a child he used to support india in what ever matches he could he would watch entire odi only to see india lose out matches by 5 runs chasing a meagre total of 210 runs. it broke his heart and he lost interest in cricket. even if india has become a good team and began to climb rankings his heart never came to cricket apart from watching some T20 matches.

' I barely watch T20 matches and these idiots are discussing about test cricket' vijay thought.
" Sehwag was smashing sixes all around the ground what a player he is" raju said.
' is this guy a gay ... fucker... oh i am getting mad here i must go'
vijay decided and he came back home.

Gay Attack !!!

Yeah such a horror occured to me a few years back. I was always aware that gays do exist in the society. while i was studying in college i used to scare some of my friends telling that i am a gay. Some used to get terrified and some knew that i was just trying to be joker. That was just for fun.

Few years ago while i was studying in college i had a chance meeting with this guy who was in his 50's , an elderly gentleman. i was waiting for the city bus in the bus stop and he suddenly came forward to me and got acquainted with me in a very friendly way. he used to ask me things like where i was studying and where my home is . I came to know that his home is a few 100 yards away from my home. He had this habit of holding hands while talking. so every time he talks he holds my hand . i grew suspicious of him. something is wrong with him, I thought. we used to meet whenever i was out there for an outing. one day during a casual talk with him he told me that the construction of his new home is over and i should visit his home. i came to know that his wife and son were living in some other house. Initially i was reluctant to go, but he insisted me just to have a look at his new house. so i went with him. we got upstairs and he showed me the rooms. suddenly he caught hold of my hands. he was talking something and his malicious hands were doing something else. by this time lightning struck me and i was convinced that he was a cold blooded gay, fucking gay.... suddenly i took my hands away and yelled 'uncle .... i have to go downstairs... i forgot to take my umbrella...' . thing was that i never carry an umbrella. i climbed downstairs as fast as i could and ran for my life.... if i had run like that in olympics i could have won the gold medal. but if i had stayed there for one more minute i could have lost everything. That fucking gay could have harassed me. I may have acted like a gay to my friends but the prospect of being a gay horrifies me.

I was thinking despite having a wife and son why would he be a gay?. May be it was his unfulfilled wish. May be it is the reason why his wife dumped him. Even now i get out of my home when i see him i twist my face in such a manner that the gay won't recognize me. Otherwise i would use a hat to cover my face from the side . it is a totally funny situation. sometimes i laugh my heart out thinking about those situations. The situation was horrific as well as funny. But that day i learnt something about gays that they are always tactful and you wont realize the truth until the final moment which is indeed horrific. While i was walking with my friend once again i saw him again talking to a young fellow. I thought of the young guy "poor fellow, the gay's next victim"

Sachin Tendulkar- Man of Records

Truly the master blaster. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar has been a true champion since his arrival in international cricket. He made his debut at the age of 16. 20 years has gone by but not a hint of change in his hunger for success. A truly committed and complete cricketer. Someone who has excelled in all formats of the game. His hunger remains ever increasing. He is a role model to every one in the cricketing fraternity.

There is a schumacher in f1 race, a kasparov in chess, a micheal jackson in dance, a dhyan chand in hockey a micheal phelps in swimming. Like wise there is only one sachin tendulkar in cricket and there is no one like him. His records are some sort of unfinished business. He manages to create records that may not be broken for years to come because no one has played this game for these number of years. The feats he has completed over these 20 years are just magical and unbeleivable. Records are meant to be broken but his records are hard to be broken as he is the man of records himself.

At the age of 37 when cricketers are past their prime and are thinking about retirement he has no intention of retiring and he is as energetic and bubbling as a 17 year old. Hats off to his undying enthusiasm and energy..... Yesterday he created the record no one possibly imagined , a double century in one day cricket that no one has ever achieved. 200 off just 147 balls, just imagine the concentration, power, mental strength and skill he possess at the age of 37.

But he is the man of records. lets go through the records he has achieved in his illustrious career.

* Highest run getter in one day cricket
* Highest run getter in Test cricket
* Highest run getter in both the forms
* Highest number of centuries in one day cricket
* Highest number of centuries in Test cricket
* Highest number of centuries in both the forms
* Highest number of half centuries in one day cricket
* Highest number of half centuries in Test cricket
* Highest number of half centuries both the forms
* Highest run getter in a single world cup
* Highest number of ODI caps
* Highest number of Test caps
* Represented most number of world cups
* Maximum number of years in International cricket
* Most number of centuries against a single team i9n both test and one day
* Most number of centuries in a single calendar year in both test and one day

I may have missed some of his other records but the latest and most defining moment
* The first and only double century in one day cricket 200* from sachin's bat.

Need any other reason to celebrate. The one and only sachin tendulkar .... The master blaster.

couple of years ago questions arose that sachin should retire and sachin has answered his critics by scoring a double century which was thought impossible to be scored until yesterday. He has broken that record too.

I think sachin should be knighted soon. This is my tribute to the true genius of cricket, the master blaster.

Tutorial days- 1

This is a series of stories just like those television series like friends, mind your language etc... This is the first episode of the series and i hope there will be plenty of other episodes as it will continue in the future.

The story begins in a bank tutorial class. Its a coaching center for aspirants who look forward to work in bank. as the recession has caused a havoc its very difficult for people to get into the IT industry and people are looking forward to work in banks. Lots of people are pouring into the coaching class and this series is about the people who happened to meet in the coaching center.

Vijay the protagonist of the story is a tall and handsome fellow, dark complexioned yet smart. vijay is a care free fellow who is always cool no matter what happens.

Then there is another fellow who is the best friend of vijay .... That's Raju. raju is an ordinary looking fellow , little bit short but yet he is happy to play 2nd fiddle to vijay. both of them were a couple just like akbar and birbal.

Then there is another fellow who just looks like a somalian as he resembles very much like a somalian citizen, very lean skinny but funny. his name is seenu but every one call him somalia seenu or simply somalia, which is very humiliating for him. he is anaemic but he is the joker of the pack with his capacity to make fun of others.

Then there is the tall and shy joshy who is actually a book worm and he is determined to get into one or the other bank what ever it may cost.

Then there is benny who was an IT professional but now out of job due to recession and all that he has refused to sign a bond in the company he was working as he thought it was a bit too much of slavery.

There was the love birds shyam and revathy. Revathy is a very popular singer and she often appears in tv shows and contests as contestant. she always has this smiling expression. she has no other expression but the smile is her only emotion even though she gets emotional at times. shyam is a loving and lovable guy who is so much in love with revathy that he could do anything for her. he is damn possessive about her and he can't bear the sight of another fellow falling on revathy who he lovingly calls revu.

Then the bomb shell, yes there is a bomb shell in the class. she is paru but due to her cat's eyes every one calls her cat eye paru and she even walks like a cat in short 'cat walk'.

Day 1:

Class started and vijay entered the room which had almost 120 students and every one were looking at each other in surprise.... its usual at the first day that every one stare at each other with surprise.

Incidentally this is the day many of them joined and vijay was wondering how the class will be. the maths class had already begun. ah... maths is simple its everything related to ratio and proportion.. silly stuff .

The dude who was sitting near vijay turned towards him and asks 'hey you have yesterday's notes i joined just today'
'dude the same with me i also joined today. it seems that many of us joined today only' vijay replied. 'what did you do?'
' i was working in an IT firm but i lost my job thanks to my drinking habits. by the way my name is dinesh and whats your name?'
' my name is vijay and i am a fresher. which college you studied?'
' CET 2003 batch'
' really my brother also belonged to the 2003 batch of CET'
'is it?' dinesh asked with a puzzled expression 'which branch? what's his name?'
'vinay and he belonged to the royal mechs'
' dude ,you are vinay's brother. that is why i was thinking i have seen you somewhere. you look just like your brother. he was a very close friend of mine . where is he now a days. what's he doing?'
' he is working in the vssc and he is married'
' kallan.. he was a real book worm one of the toppers'
'yeah i know'
' i never thought that i would study with vinay and his brother too'
'that's fate' vijay exclaimed

It was lunch time and every one were eating their lunch.
'dude i have to go and tell vinay about me' dinesh said
' yeah of course. bye cya tomorrow'

My Father is a Hero

No No .... i am not the one saying it. This was said by the tamil director Gautam menon whose film 'varanam ayiram' was inspired from his real life. the movie was more about father-son relationship and how a father is an inspiring figure for his son in each each stage of his son's life. May be it is true in real life also. Many son's look forward to their father's for some form of inspiration or heroism.

My father was never like that... not a drop of heroism. He was always on the slower side be it riding a scooter or doing things. He is always slow but careful. He is very punctual in fact infectiously punctual such that he could reach the required destination hours before the actual time. He always rides scooter at 20 km/hr and advises me to do so but i could ride it at 60 when he is not watching that is a different case. so in fact he was just an ordinary man with not much heroism.But..... what i admire about him is his decision making sense. He is the most intellectual person i have seen, because his thoughts and ideas are just fantastic. I remember when i was studying in 8th std we all had to choose one 2nd language, either malayalam or hindi. Most of my friends were taking malayalam and i also wanted to choose it. when i discussed it with my dad he said "no you should take hindi". I insisted that all my friends were taking malayalam but he was adamant that i should take hindi.

Years later me and dad had to go to bangalore and we had to communicate with vendors and auto drivers to get the proper route of the city. what i saw was really moving. i could communicate easily with them in hindi and my dad was struggling to communicate with them. Then i realised why he was adamant about me taking hindi as the 2nd language. He couldn't get quality education when he was a child. so he wanted me to do what he couldn't do. He may not be a heroic figure but he is the person i adore for the intellect he has.

Aal iZZ WeLL

3 idiots is a fantastic movie. but i feel aamir khan should have given chetan bhagat the credits as his story is the skeleton of the whole movie. ofcourse quite a few things has been added to the story of the movie. ok ok lets dont create a furore.

But it must be said that aamir khan has given a new motto, some sort of proverb like 'Aal izz well'. what he wants is that he wants the young generation to take things lightly but in the correct spirit. lets see what is happening in our country. right from the birth of the child the parents are deciding the future of the children. just like in the movie the parents proclaim ' our son will be an engineer or doctor' Are there no jobs other than that. if every parents think like that there will be no one to do other works. In a nation where opportunities are far and few children are made to compete in a rat race where every one needs success. pressure is enormous on children. The pressure piled upon them drives them crazy and they end up reaching no where. if sachin tendulkar's dad had shunned him to play cricket in his school days couldn't we have missed the making of the greatest batsman ever in this world. imagine if a r rahman was not allowed to pursue his keyboard classes he could have ended up achieving a mediocre job.... forget the oscars. its upto the parents to leave the decisions to their children. they want the children to pursue what the parents could not become. every child is gifted in some or the other way. if he uses his gift properly he can shine in what ever field he is good at. But it is ultimately the parents who should decide whether to make or mar his future.

Yes the movie has given an important message to every one. one should do what he or she feels and have the belief 'aal izz well'.

A Tribute to the late heath ledger

Heath ledger the actor who passed away recently got the oscar for the best supporting actor for the film the dark knight. he was playing the character of the hideous joker who is the villain of the movie. but his performance as the joker was a revelation in the movie which fetched him the oscars at the age of 28 although he was not alive to receive the award with his own hands. to get an oscar at this age is definitely a great thing. it is an achievement every actor would be proud of. but unfortunately ledger died of accidently consuming toxic drugs which were unprescribed.but ledger has already left his mark in hollywood. he is perhaps one of the most versatile actor in hollywood may be after johny depp.let me analyse two characters played by heath ledger. these characters are quite contrasting. one is the 'casanova' in the movie 'casanova' and the other is 'the joker' in the movie 'the dark knight'.

Heath ledger-the casanova
it is a medieval period story of a man called giacomo casanova who was notoriously famous in italy for his womanising qualities. nobody knows his identity but he is a charming and damn goodlooking fellow who is quite good in luring women to bed and sleep with them. he was like that till the day he met francesca a girl with whom he really fell in love with. the first time he realised what love was and what he had for other women was pure lust and nothing else. the second half of the story is all about how he confesses his love to her and how he wins over her with his sincerity. what this story proves is that even a casanova has a heart which melts like ice. so it was one character which was loved by everyone.

Heath ledger-the joker
it is a batman story. but first time ever the protagonist of the story ie batman was overshadowed by the villain joker. it was a flamboyant performance which makes the movie memorable and ledger was posthumously awarded the best supporting actor award for his role. such a performance that it swept away all the awards in the planet for movies. the character joker was a hideous character who was brutally tortured by his father during his childhood that he knows nothing but hatred. but the performance was simply stunning. after the death of heath ledger there was a debate about who should be given the role of joker in the next edition of batman. johny depp is the most likely candidate to bag the role as he has shown that he is capable of handling intense roles.

heath ledger has done two contrasting characters and lets pay tribute to one of the most versatile actor hollywood has seen.
