Sachin Tendulkar- Man of Records

Truly the master blaster. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar has been a true champion since his arrival in international cricket. He made his debut at the age of 16. 20 years has gone by but not a hint of change in his hunger for success. A truly committed and complete cricketer. Someone who has excelled in all formats of the game. His hunger remains ever increasing. He is a role model to every one in the cricketing fraternity.

There is a schumacher in f1 race, a kasparov in chess, a micheal jackson in dance, a dhyan chand in hockey a micheal phelps in swimming. Like wise there is only one sachin tendulkar in cricket and there is no one like him. His records are some sort of unfinished business. He manages to create records that may not be broken for years to come because no one has played this game for these number of years. The feats he has completed over these 20 years are just magical and unbeleivable. Records are meant to be broken but his records are hard to be broken as he is the man of records himself.

At the age of 37 when cricketers are past their prime and are thinking about retirement he has no intention of retiring and he is as energetic and bubbling as a 17 year old. Hats off to his undying enthusiasm and energy..... Yesterday he created the record no one possibly imagined , a double century in one day cricket that no one has ever achieved. 200 off just 147 balls, just imagine the concentration, power, mental strength and skill he possess at the age of 37.

But he is the man of records. lets go through the records he has achieved in his illustrious career.

* Highest run getter in one day cricket
* Highest run getter in Test cricket
* Highest run getter in both the forms
* Highest number of centuries in one day cricket
* Highest number of centuries in Test cricket
* Highest number of centuries in both the forms
* Highest number of half centuries in one day cricket
* Highest number of half centuries in Test cricket
* Highest number of half centuries both the forms
* Highest run getter in a single world cup
* Highest number of ODI caps
* Highest number of Test caps
* Represented most number of world cups
* Maximum number of years in International cricket
* Most number of centuries against a single team i9n both test and one day
* Most number of centuries in a single calendar year in both test and one day

I may have missed some of his other records but the latest and most defining moment
* The first and only double century in one day cricket 200* from sachin's bat.

Need any other reason to celebrate. The one and only sachin tendulkar .... The master blaster.

couple of years ago questions arose that sachin should retire and sachin has answered his critics by scoring a double century which was thought impossible to be scored until yesterday. He has broken that record too.

I think sachin should be knighted soon. This is my tribute to the true genius of cricket, the master blaster.

Tutorial days- 1

This is a series of stories just like those television series like friends, mind your language etc... This is the first episode of the series and i hope there will be plenty of other episodes as it will continue in the future.

The story begins in a bank tutorial class. Its a coaching center for aspirants who look forward to work in bank. as the recession has caused a havoc its very difficult for people to get into the IT industry and people are looking forward to work in banks. Lots of people are pouring into the coaching class and this series is about the people who happened to meet in the coaching center.

Vijay the protagonist of the story is a tall and handsome fellow, dark complexioned yet smart. vijay is a care free fellow who is always cool no matter what happens.

Then there is another fellow who is the best friend of vijay .... That's Raju. raju is an ordinary looking fellow , little bit short but yet he is happy to play 2nd fiddle to vijay. both of them were a couple just like akbar and birbal.

Then there is another fellow who just looks like a somalian as he resembles very much like a somalian citizen, very lean skinny but funny. his name is seenu but every one call him somalia seenu or simply somalia, which is very humiliating for him. he is anaemic but he is the joker of the pack with his capacity to make fun of others.

Then there is the tall and shy joshy who is actually a book worm and he is determined to get into one or the other bank what ever it may cost.

Then there is benny who was an IT professional but now out of job due to recession and all that he has refused to sign a bond in the company he was working as he thought it was a bit too much of slavery.

There was the love birds shyam and revathy. Revathy is a very popular singer and she often appears in tv shows and contests as contestant. she always has this smiling expression. she has no other expression but the smile is her only emotion even though she gets emotional at times. shyam is a loving and lovable guy who is so much in love with revathy that he could do anything for her. he is damn possessive about her and he can't bear the sight of another fellow falling on revathy who he lovingly calls revu.

Then the bomb shell, yes there is a bomb shell in the class. she is paru but due to her cat's eyes every one calls her cat eye paru and she even walks like a cat in short 'cat walk'.

Day 1:

Class started and vijay entered the room which had almost 120 students and every one were looking at each other in surprise.... its usual at the first day that every one stare at each other with surprise.

Incidentally this is the day many of them joined and vijay was wondering how the class will be. the maths class had already begun. ah... maths is simple its everything related to ratio and proportion.. silly stuff .

The dude who was sitting near vijay turned towards him and asks 'hey you have yesterday's notes i joined just today'
'dude the same with me i also joined today. it seems that many of us joined today only' vijay replied. 'what did you do?'
' i was working in an IT firm but i lost my job thanks to my drinking habits. by the way my name is dinesh and whats your name?'
' my name is vijay and i am a fresher. which college you studied?'
' CET 2003 batch'
' really my brother also belonged to the 2003 batch of CET'
'is it?' dinesh asked with a puzzled expression 'which branch? what's his name?'
'vinay and he belonged to the royal mechs'
' dude ,you are vinay's brother. that is why i was thinking i have seen you somewhere. you look just like your brother. he was a very close friend of mine . where is he now a days. what's he doing?'
' he is working in the vssc and he is married'
' kallan.. he was a real book worm one of the toppers'
'yeah i know'
' i never thought that i would study with vinay and his brother too'
'that's fate' vijay exclaimed

It was lunch time and every one were eating their lunch.
'dude i have to go and tell vinay about me' dinesh said
' yeah of course. bye cya tomorrow'

My Father is a Hero

No No .... i am not the one saying it. This was said by the tamil director Gautam menon whose film 'varanam ayiram' was inspired from his real life. the movie was more about father-son relationship and how a father is an inspiring figure for his son in each each stage of his son's life. May be it is true in real life also. Many son's look forward to their father's for some form of inspiration or heroism.

My father was never like that... not a drop of heroism. He was always on the slower side be it riding a scooter or doing things. He is always slow but careful. He is very punctual in fact infectiously punctual such that he could reach the required destination hours before the actual time. He always rides scooter at 20 km/hr and advises me to do so but i could ride it at 60 when he is not watching that is a different case. so in fact he was just an ordinary man with not much heroism.But..... what i admire about him is his decision making sense. He is the most intellectual person i have seen, because his thoughts and ideas are just fantastic. I remember when i was studying in 8th std we all had to choose one 2nd language, either malayalam or hindi. Most of my friends were taking malayalam and i also wanted to choose it. when i discussed it with my dad he said "no you should take hindi". I insisted that all my friends were taking malayalam but he was adamant that i should take hindi.

Years later me and dad had to go to bangalore and we had to communicate with vendors and auto drivers to get the proper route of the city. what i saw was really moving. i could communicate easily with them in hindi and my dad was struggling to communicate with them. Then i realised why he was adamant about me taking hindi as the 2nd language. He couldn't get quality education when he was a child. so he wanted me to do what he couldn't do. He may not be a heroic figure but he is the person i adore for the intellect he has.
